Bike Month- May 2012

May is celebrated nationally as Bike Month with events and programs that encourage communities to bicycle often and safely.  Topeka Bike Month offers a great opportunity to work towards achieving one of the city's sustainability goals of reducing the detrimental effect that our over-burdened transportation system has on the environment.  In an effort to promote sustainable transportation options in Topeka, the City, along with the support of key business and community partnerships, should strive to promote an environment which encourages all community members to bicycle during the month of May and beyond.
